EAR 834 - Capacitance
Hello Group !
I am wondering if I am overthinking or if someone has looked into the capacitance of the loading for the MM cartridge.
I am only counting the capacitance of the Turntable cables - 20pF plus the interconnect cables which are 260pF.
The MM cart I am using calls for 200pF - 400pF which is a Alpha Ortofon but previously I was using the
Audio Technica VM540ML but it started sounding a bit to shrill on the highs. The AT carts call for 100-200 pF.
Do I need to count any loading given by the EAR 834 ? and if so, has anyone figured this number yet ? I have looked on forums on how much this Clone model load for the input to add it to the total capacitance but I really haven't seen anything.
If anyone has experience with this I would appreciate any input.

Thank you so much Stephe this really gives me peace of mind, I was totally spinning and reading left and right with no answer. And I just returned some World Best cables cause I measured them and they were way off from spec overloading the system so now I ordered some blue jeans. In the process of ordering you were in my mind so I didn't fall for no snake oil pricey nonsense cables 😅
