Willsenton 300B issue

Greetings All:

Until now, my 300B met expectations. Yesterday, I blew the fuse and noticed a surge through the left 300B tube. Today, I replaced the fuse with the same result. This time the surge was through the left 274B tube. I've had no luck locating/contacting a Willsenton service facility. Any suggestion beyond switching tube amplifier brands?

Whatever the case, you have a short in there. You don't say how long you have owned it, but with the "shaky" quality of some Chinese components anything is possible.

I would pull the tubes, replace the fuse, and with the tubes out see if it blows the fuse. If it does you have a component failure (probably a capacitor, look for a bulging/leaking capacitor), if not it is a tube, likely a 300b and the rectifier.
