VU meter buffer lowers volume.
I am in the process of building an amp.
Today I added the VU meter driver.
It is a TS-VU003 which is widely available on Amazon.
Everything is hooked up correctly. As soon as I connect the L,G and R to my line input the volume gets lowered and distortion is added. I have bought the driver to mitigate this problem. I cannot understand why this happens.

I don't really have a link to a schematic. But to describe it more accurately: I have hooked up the VU driver to the L,G, and R AFTER the volume pot. It is only here that the noticeable distortion occurs. When I connect it BEFORE the volume pot, everything seems fine and no noticeable distortion occurs.
Are VU drivers always to be implemented before the volume pot?
The VU driver has its own power supply
