I am working on redesigning of my 300B amp, and will use schematic posted here.

I understand the reason for having power transformer with all PS components on side rather in the middle how I have it, however it will be quote a big job on top plate (patching or complete replacement with a lot of drilling and filing). I would defiantly like to avoid remodeling of top plate if possible.

I see a lot of 300B amps with middle power transformer location, but I am not sure. Is there chance to succeed? or it is a time to be brave and change everything?
