I recently got a Reisong-A50 after watching the youtube series about the mods. My question is about the VU meters, do they have any impact on the sound output? Would I notice any differences by removing them?

I'm thinking about maybe doing some kind of custom front panel thing anyway, just curious what the cost of having them going is?
