The little Bastard A10 an A12 Amp.

Hi. It took me almost 3 hours to do the mods Skunkie suggested. For my A10 that means new Tungsol rectifier and 2 new Tungsol 12AX7's and changed the coupling cap to a decent one. I'm glad I did. Although I though the amp sounded well enough compared to my SS Onky this definitely was a game changer. It only has a couple of hours with the new tubes but three big changes: Bass. It is there. I run below 180 hz trough a plate amp but feed this from the speaker terminals. I have to do a little homework now because the base is too much now for the pre mod settings. Clear. It plays a bit on bright side for me. May be the 12ax's must burn in a bit and I noticed two unused 820Koms resistors left. Forgot to mount these (and the bleeder resistor). Louder. Considerably louder now. I use 95db (Betsy's F8) efficient speakers and it will play louder than I will ever use them. I had to tighten all screws inside... it was thrown together in the factory pretty quickly. Done.
