You briefly mentioned in one of your videos...they might work in the Muzishare X7. I currently using Shug KT88z..but am looking for a warmer/different tube. I saw a post on a forum where someone recomended EL34 with the bias changed from 40ma to 28-30ma. Is this a safe thing to try? Thank you...love your vids!

I watched your vids on this amp and followed your recos for tubes. Did the frontend first...WOW. Just received the Shuguang KT-88z's. The tubes were all marked 30ma. Does that mean the bias is to be set at 30ma. Sorry my first tube amp and have only had it a month ...so still learning.

I just replaced mystock KT-88 tubes with a hopefully better Shuguang KT-88z. A label on the tubes was marked 30ma. Does that mean I should set the bias at 30? Manual says 40...on the stock tubes.
