I love Danny's products. I built a pair of X-LS upgraded with tube connectors and Soni-caps along with the X-CS in 2009. I have them in my home theater and they really kick! I highly recommend any of his products!

Finally got around to swapping all of the tubes around. It was one of the NEW KT88's. I'm contacting the vendor to see if they want to swap the quad or replace with another one that measures the same. At least I'm able to listen with an old set of EL34's I have left from an old ST70. Thanks for all the help!

Thank You for the picture. Ive got the Grandkids today, but will try tube swaps 1st then open the bottom if need be. Not afraid to solder and swap out parts. I build new driver boards and rebuild my Hafler DH500 a couple of years ago.

I"ll try that today. This is happening with the volume all the way down. I guess I need to look and see where the pot falls in the schematic.
