Glad you found the issue! How do you like it now that you have things sorted out?

You can take a look for “radio chassis punch“ on eBay. I prefer a vintage Greenlee brand which are great quality. Some unused even at 50yrs old or so. I have had good luck with the “make an offer” listings

Hey SimonP, Nice clean job on your build. Your sure to get some great sound from your Rotel turntable. Thanks for sharing your project. I wouldn't worry about any hum if you have to put your ear to the loudspeaker. Nobody listens that close. If you can't hear it from your listening chair it doesn't matter. There is a tremendous amount of gain from that tiny diamond in the record grove until it gets to your ears.
