Mine is driving a pair of small Klipsch book shelf speakers. Started with 50% volume knob and even with small Klipsch speakers I'm getting good volume! Clarity is good but bass is light sounding. Preparing to solder in some new parts, casoding the drivers, raising plate voltage and rolling in a better rectifier. Thank you for your great UTUBE VIDEOS!

The main deal with cascoding the driver tube was to bring good bass to the party. The factory wiring simply and measurably can't create enough drive for a 300B tube, especially at the lower frequencies. It has nothing to do with the volume control pot etc. My Klipsch RP600M have plenty of bass when setup in the room right, they aren't the limiting factor either.
If you have never heard one of these amps after the driver mod, I can understand why you might think there is nothing missing. There absolutely is. All the folks who are blown away after doing these mods aren't all making it up.
