Right now they're selling it for $158 US. Shipping to Mexico brings the total to $324 US, which puts it in Nobsound 6P1 territory. I'd buy one and send it to you but I'm already too invested in the Spud at this point.
Did you notice the wide range of voltage options they're offering? I found that interesting.
"Triode connection 8W*2, super linear connection 10WX2 standard connection 12W*2"Yeah right lol. It's not a bad looking amp and I bet this could be rewired to something like my 6SQ7 amp, just question the iron. And which one of the pictured amps would you get, random? Those look like the same 6P1 transformers as well. If someone wanted to send me one, might be a fun project! Shipping seems a bit extreme though.
Hello Ms. Skunkie, I have purchased two of these Nobsound 6P1 amps and have done the first two rounds of mods on both of them that you have posted on YTvideos. I used both of them to bi-amp my 1973 Khorns. I was not getting enough chest thump from the bass bin when I was just using one of these amps. After the mods and changes to the passive AA xover networks so that I could bi-amp passively and still have the same AA xover sound it did get me some better kick drum thump, but not enough for my liking. I have since gone back to my Yamaha AVR that will push 130 WPC out to four channels so that I can bi-amp the Khorns with enough power to get the bass bin kick drum thumping my chest. I did sound for a garage band in the 80s and I was Tri-amping the PA and got used to the big full sound you can get with just some modest amps and speakers if you know how to set them up properly. I run all my EQ controls absolutely flat so that I can hear the difference between mixes and sources. I learned from experience that the best way to get your speakers sounding good is to work the room first, then start working the EQ if you need to. Proper speaker placement is the key, walking around the room you can hear the good spots and the holes or bad spots that can be anywhere in the room.
Getting back to the 6P1 amp I would be interested in shipping you one or both of my 6P1 amps for some Skunkie Mods if you want to try to get some more punch from them with some less distortion. I like the SET sound, but I just can’t get enough punch from the bass bin, more power from this/these amps would help me get there. I understand how you are joking around about the stated power output from your previous posts about this amp on your bench, a single watt before the distortion starts kicking in, but I am really needing a few more watts if I’m going to bi-amp, but if I was to go to a Tri-amp setup two of these 6P1 amps for the top cabinet and my Yamahammer for the bass bin I might be able to get some clean tube power to compliment the SS that I need for the bass bin. I’m going to have to take a look at your 6SQ7 amp and see what you are doing there.
Shoot me your thoughts about possibly getting some cleaner sound and maybe a few more watts out of these 6P1 SET amps, 8 watts, 10 watts and 12 watts are all a bit more power than the 6.8 watts I’m stuck with on this amp as a SET amp, I’m ready to push this iron to its limits, or add some different iron and see what happens, I already have the APC power supply to get the right China power they need. TTYL and thanks for the mods!
They are actually like 2 watts, even after the mods. And sorry I don't mod amps for people, but I am doing a total gut and rewire series on these little amps right now that should get them closer to 5W.

Gotta love that name! The Old Buffalo? How in the world did they come up with that one?
