Hello all it my first time posting here!
I Plucked up the courage to attempt to mod my A10 Amplifier following the videos on youtube.
It was an experiance and a half never done anything like this.
Well i got it Completed ran into a few snags.
Firstly i converted it to a A12 By moving one of the wires to pin 9 and bridging 4 and 5 i think it was on both sides,
I did find it very hard to change the 8.2k resistor to the 4.3k resistor on the PCD (I suspect this could be my downfall in the mod)
I do not have a bleeder resistor installed.
All the Tubes Light up!
But i have no sound.
My plan is to leave it alone for awhile and go back to it and reflow it. seen a post with low sound and a reflow fixed it not sure if it will work with my no sound symptom.
Anyway is the fact that all the tubes glow a good thing?
Or is that gonna work because i didn't rly modify anything to do with the power i guess.... anyway any insight would be great.
I'm guessing since its my first time soldering that the joints are terrible.
:D
I'm chuffed you didn't approve it I managed to figure it out 😁 as if you didn't make it easy enough haha
Yeah sorry about that, this forum now has so many spam posts daily I had to set every post needs approval. It's starting to get overwhelming :(
In the time it took to approve this post I have resolved the issue 😃.
I got abit confused following the video and replaced a transistor for a capacitor when the little annotation cam up on screen in part 2.
I have corrected this and all is good now I have sound and much more of it!
Thank you for the approval anyway 😀
